House speaker johnson said he is pleased with the legislation because it allowed him to make spending cuts. We also advanced as you seen the surgery cuts to some of the agencies that we believe are really overreaching. And have been turned in some ways against the American People. We are going soto cut 3 from doj, 7 from the atf, 6 from the fbi, and 10 from the epa. And thats a start. We have a lot more priorities and things we need to advance but the reality is we have to grow the house majority, take back the senate and win the white house and i am hear to tell you the reason we are optimistic is because we believe the things will happen in november. Aspirational society and we all want a better life. what s wrong with being productive. i think we are getting to a place where democrats are now saying it s a bad thing to have been a productive member of our society. [applause] ainsley: it does work for most americans if you work really hard, if you are nice and kind and a hard worker and you show up and say yes over and over and over you rise to the top. but does that message rests sob nate to the single mom out there who is working really hard and has three jobs but still not making a lot of money? look, we can all say that capitalism is the best system in the world. but is it perfect? no, it s not. [applause] the discussion should be more about how we improve the system. how do we make it better for that mom to get ahead? how do we give her more resources to get ahead. not knock everybody down who is productive and certainly not attacking job producers like small businesses and entrepreneurs create most jobs in this country. Growing as hiring in 2018 was the strongest it has been for three years. dan henninger writing in the wall street journal it requires a remarkable degree of obtusness and pretend it hasn t happened. democrats are doing that. they are pocketed the reaganesque policy for matching job producers with job seekers. here with me now dan henninger. i read him every thursday morn. try to beat my husband to it so we can then talk about your work. it s only march 7, but you are calling this the story of the year. i think so. one really good news story that is historic, the wall street journal ran a series this past weekend calling it the hottest job market in half a century. think of that. not since bush, it s been half a century, we have never seen numbers like this. the point of this story is people are being pulled into the work force that usually are on the margin. single mothers, convicts, people with disabilities.
After the holiday weekend. republicans are focusing on the gop tax plan. this morning, the president tweeted about it, writing the tax bill is coming along very well, great support with a few changes. some mathematical, the middle class. job producers can get even more. the problem is, that is not completely the case, the nonpartisan congressional budget office, released its score of the bill today. they say the plan would increase the deficit over the next 10 years. and the average health insurance premium would increase 10% over the next decade. taking more money out of family s pockets. earlier i spoke to senator james langford about the bill. here s part of that conversation. republicans have been selling this bill as tax reform that will benefit the middle class, i wonder how you square that with what the cbo is saying, americans who earn $30,000 or less a year would be worse off than most people earning 75,000
