EDITOR: Our family moved to Basking Ridge in 2002 and just recently moved out of New Jersey in August.
We spent 18 years in Basking Ridge raising our children in great schools and a very homogenous community, for the first five of those years or so. We chose to move to Basking Ridge because of the schools. We hoped diversity would follow and it has, so to speak.
We no longer live in Basking Ridge, but as you can imagine, have a vested interest as many of our friends still reside in Bernards Township. I have followed the politics of this town for several years.
