Lets begin with breaking news now out of benicia, westbound interstate 780 is closed at Second Street due to an overturned tanker truck. We sent sky fox above the area to show us this scene live. We see liquid asphalt spilled onto the highway and no traffic coming through. The Benicia Police Department Says that emergency crews will be on the scene all day long. The solano hazmat team is on the scene as well at this point, we dont know if anyone was hurt at all. And the chp is investigating. But keep this closure of westbound interstate 780 at Second Street in mind because this is going to be the case for the afternoon, likely even the evening hours. Little faint, like it was far. So we werent tripping. And then boom, boom, it was two more. And then everybody started running. The shooting happened at about 1130 tuesday morning, bringing dozens of Oakland Police chp officers and Alameda County sheriffs deputies to the school. The campus was placed on lockdown. Officers detained four individuals, two of whom were placed under arrest. Oakland Police Captain jake bassett says officers recovered a gun. Police would not say if those in custody are students at skyline. Investigators say they werent prepared to discuss what led up to the shooting. Officers conducted a methodical search of the campus and thankfully there were no reported injuries. Parents rushed to campus waiting for hours to reunite with their kids streets near the school were jammed as word spread of the shooting.
