STAFF PHOTO Published: 12/16/2016 6:27:51 PM GREENFIELD  After receiving noise complaints from neighbors, Jim’s Tree Service has agreed to limit the hours it operates wood processing equipment at its Wells Street location. On Tuesday, the town’s Planning Board ordered the business to limit the hours it operates its wood splitter and chipper to no more than 1½ hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m. Owner Jim Elwell and his attorney, Scott Cote, originally came before the board in October after it was brought to the town’s attention that the company never presented a site plan after moving to its current location at 275 Wells St. more than four years ago.
