then. the scene is just down from us, a single-family home at 11 winter street, that is where police found a man and woman dead from knife wounds outside of the front porch in what police say is a murder/suicide. right now police have the entire block sealed off. the porch is on the opposite side of the home you may be looking at right now. the essex county d.a. tells us the victim is a 51-year-old resident of the home. early this evening, she was talking to her sister in brazil by phone. during the call, the sister began to hear screams at what sounded like a scuffle. the line disconnected. from brazil, the sister called another relative in peabody and the relative called the police who responded immediately. upon arrival, they noticed the two individuals on the porch, they immediately called for more assistance from ambulances and attempted to do life saving activity, but they going to be possible. at that point, we roped off the crime scene and began the investigat ....
