Or maybe you have been waiting in a checkout line and just as you are finally at the register the clerk says she is taking her break you will have to go to the next register. It is enough to make a person’s blood boil. Other things that irritate or annoy us are the drivers that come to a dead stop before turning right or driver that never uses their turn signals. How about the people who walk super slowly in front of you, blocking the entire aisle or driveway, or people talking loudly on their cellphone in a public place, such as the grocery store? Then you turn on the news and get passionately provoked. ....
a freeze warning has taken over the bay area with temperatures dipping into the teens in many places. at a hardware store in pleasanton there is a run on pipe insulation. plants are being covered. national weather service says freezing temperatures kill sensitive plants. at a pet supply store sales are brisk for insulated dog and cat shelters. some people might think it s a little excessive but i find that these work well. reporter: can you imagine leaving her outside? no. i think even the really cold weather dogs would be pretty chilled if they are not used to it. keep them inside. so how long will the freeze warnings be in effect? elizabeth? thank you, frank. i like those weather cabins. i could use one of the those for myself living in the lap of luxury. check out the big line of red. that s where we have a freeze warning in much of the bay area under the freeze warning until 8:00 this morning. so just about everywhere except for san francisco and the coa ....
morning. people are taking some extra precautions with their homes and their pets and plants this morning. for good reason. lisa washington is in pleasanton and our crack producer lisa, our weather producer, tells me it s in the 20s there. nice. reporter: i got to tell you, you said chilly? that is an understatement! it is cold out here. you heard the phrase, the roaring 20s? took on a different meaning here in pleasanton. if you can see the sign we re at the mission plaza. the sign is saying it s about 33 degrees. it s been fluctuating since we have been here for an hour so up to 33 degrees now. for some people in pleasanton and across the bay area, those temperatures dipped into the 20s and the 30s last night with that freeze warning. some people who live in pleasanton didn t take the national weather service s freeze warning lightly. they picked up some pipe insulation to prevent freezing pipes even ensue late dog houses to keep their furry friends warm, as well. ....
