Assistant officers were elected at the meeting, announced members of the month, and afterwards members enjoyed hot dogs, sloppy joes and ice cream. In addition, members also partook in corn hole games. The Versailles FFA April members of the month are Austin Nerderman, Gage Holmes, Abby Petitjean and Tyler Gehret. Austin Nerderman is the son of Kim and Mike Nerderman. He’s a senior and a five-year member of the FFA. Nerderman participates in monthly meetings, Feed the Farmers, Fruit Sales, Farm Day, Dairy Judging, Wildlife, Grain Merchandising CDE and the Community meal. Or maybe you have been waiting in a checkout line and just as you are finally at the register the clerk says she is taking her break you will have to go to the next register. It is enough to make a person’s blood boil. Other things that irritate or annoy us are the drivers that come to a dead stop before turning right or driver that never uses their turn signals. How about the people who walk super slowly in front of you, blocking the entire aisle or driveway, or people talking loudly on their cellphone in a public place, such as the grocery store? Then you turn on the news and get passionately provoked. ....
Feb 12, 2021 Judith Michelle Gulda, 46, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 1, 2021. She was raised in Millville, N.J., where she graduated from Millville High School and later moved to Altoona. Michelle was the daughter of the late John Gulda and Judy (Smith) Orlando. Michelle is survived by her mother; stepfather, Thomas Orlando; her son, Asher Trainer; Chris Alley, Tre Bullett and Little Eddie, whom she loved as sons; her grandsons, Colton and Malcolm; brother, OJ Peterson; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends who were like family to her. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert “Bobby” Trainer; Tyler Gehret, whom she loved as a son; and her brother, Jimmy Peterson. ....
