The officers say in these situations they usually use a robot to move the object but it detonated inside the house causing Severe Damage to the home and blowing out a window at the corner store. If they can move it, they will try to. In this incident, it was determined it was to indication to too dangerous to move. It compromised safety. Residents a block away say it was startle. Breaking news in oakland. All lanes of eastbound 580 are reopened at edwards after a man was hit and killed on the freeway. C. H. P. Says a man in his 30s staggered on to 580 at 1 00 oclock. To minutes later he was hit by a car and killed. The driver would hit him is cooperating with investigators. C. H. P. Now is looking into whether the man was under the influence or drug or alcohol when he staggered on the freeway. Those metering lights have gone on and the traffic is backed up for a 15 minute delay. Once you get on to the bridge its looking good into San Francisco. And i want to mention the san mateo bridge traffic looks okay. Not a big crowd heading out to the highrise. Because of the wind its really clear everywhere. So visibility is is not a problem.
