Park Rapids moves handling of revolving loan fund to HLDC
The Heartland Lakes Development Commission sees a shared interest with the city in having a well utilized RLF.

Mary Thompson, executive director of the Heartland Lakes Development Commission (HLDC), told the Park Rapids City Council on Tuesday that the HLDC is willing to administer the city’s revolving loan fund (RLF) at no cost to the city.
“My board has provided a proposal to do those services,” she said, including marketing the program, underwriting and servicing the loans.
Thompson said that the marketing component is about keeping local businesses informed about what is available and making sure the fund is properly utilized. ....
