Morning drive. Quiet virginia neighborhood, a man in his 90s found dead. The mayors on hand as police begin their investigation. We begin with our breaking news in alexandria, virginia, where a 94yearold man was found dead inside his house. Police are calling that death suspicious. Jackie bensen joins us live from the scene. Reporter the discovery was made just before 7 00 this evening here in the del rey neighborhood. The man had trauma to his body. This is causing great concerns for neighbors. Was this a robbery, was this a burglary. Police do not have a lot of answers at this point. Hours after the 94yearold man was discovered by his stepson, the home continued to be the scene of a fullblown investigation by alexandria police. We have our detectives canvassing the neighborhood to find out if any of the neighbors saw or heard anything that might be related to this incident. Dorner jumped out of the snow at me, gun drawn, big, long rifle. So, i just stopped and put my truck in park and put my hands up. He pointed his gun at me and said, i dont want to hurt you, just get out and start walking up the road and take your dog. Reporter dorner raced off again. This time, a fish and game warden spotted him and that officer engaged in a life or death shootout. Dorner realized he had been recognized, rolled down his window, held the pistol out the window and shot at the two wardens in the follow vehicle. Miraculously, never hit the two wardens who were inside. Reporter but police say dorner did shoot two other officers during his run yesterday, killing 35yearold jeremiah mckay, who leaves behind a 7yearold daughter and 4monthold son. The former Navy Reservist then holed himself up in a cabin and here, in these usually quiet mountains, an intense fire fight broke out. Police say they fired tear gas into the cab ....

Height of the storm the snow could be falling at more than an inch every hour. This morning the midwest is waking up to a blast of Winter Weather. The latest winter storm has everything with it, freezing rain, some ice and heavy snow. Reporter that snow has already started to fall across the region including parts of oklahoma, arkansas, colorado and kansas. Shovels are out and plows are already working, but if the forecast holds, they may not be able to keep up with the pace. Some areas expect blizzard conditions and accumulations of two feet or more before its over. So before it gets that bad, many are making sure they stock up on supplies to ride out the storm. I live far enough out of town that its not convenient and we have enough roads in the country that do get rather snowbound.
