• Jason T. Purtilo, 37, homeless, was charged with Third-Degree Burglary, consumption in public places intoxication and two counts of trespass on separate incidents. At 2:20 a.m. Nov. 17, Purtilo entered a locked facility, Newton Health Care, by breaking two doors and entering. He was found inside the building after taking socks from the staff. Staff stated the door alarms went of when Purtilo entered the building. They kept him occupied until the police arrived. Administration was notified during the day hours and wished to pursue charges for burglary and trespass Purtilo from the facility. At 12:04 p.m. Nov. 16, officers were dispatched to Goodwill in reference to an individual who appeared intoxicated. Upon arrival, police made contact with Purtilo who appeared to be under the influence of some type of substance. When asked to conduct sobriety tests, Purtilo refused.
