Rome tosses CWSI contract in the trash; Bliss to take over garbage collection

CWSI was notified Tuesday morning, the mayor said. The contract was terminated "due to failure to meet contractual obligations and a high number of complaints from residents," Lanigan said in a release. The 5-year contract was signed in March 2020 for $5,529,400 and was due to expire on March 31, 2025.
