New York State Police Thursday morning shared more details about an ongoing investigation into an elementary school principal accused of sexually abusing nine pre-teen pupils. Kirk Ashton, 51, of Rush, who is on administrative leave from his job as the leader of Northwood Elementary School, has been charged with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse and five counts of second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and nine counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the New York State Police. At a mid-morning news conference, State Police Major Barry Chase said all the alleged sexual acts took place at the school during school hours over the past four years. ....
