A look at Saturday’s Class 3A Iowa high school boys’ state wrestling finals. A district loss was the perfect motivator for Iowa City High’s Cale Seaton to return to form. A state championship form.
Iowa City High senior Cale Seaton has developed a new appreciation for the sport he loves. The new perspective comes after overcoming a knee injury to win a state wrestling title last year and sitting out six months to rehab from surgery. He is seeded No. 2 at 132 pounds in Class 3A of the IHSAA state wrestling tournament.
The Wanamingo Jacks got 3 hits and scored a run in the first inning but could not muster much more offense in a 10-2 loss to Raymond Sunday at Bell Field in Faribault.
The Faribault Lakers scored 4 runs on 5 hits in the top of the ninth inning to break a tie in New Prague last night. The 7-3 win meant a #5 seed in Region 3C.
