St. John’s may add in-person graduation ceremony amid updated guidance

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. After Gov. Andrew Cuomo this week announced updated guidance for schools, colleges and universities to hold graduations, St. John’s University said it is still planning to keep its ceremonies virtual but is considering holding an in-person commencement.
In February, St. John’s announced its commencement exercises would be virtual for the Class of 2021 amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including for students at its Staten Island campus on Grymes Hill.
