The attack just happened after 2 00 this afternoon in the 200 block of south picket street. The Woman Told Police she was alone at the pool when an unknown mack i provided her andd pulled out a gun. Apparently all it took with flip of wrong switch and entire 911 system was shut down across d. C. We had been hearing from police and fire sources that they, to too, were having trouble communicating on that night during that 911 outage and now we have the sound really the radio transmissions reportsing there to confirm it even though city officials told us yesterday those communication problems would not happen. Outage with d around 20 minutes prior to official start of 911 outage which is 11 35 saturday night and in recordings once they switched we could get a sechs frustration and confusion. Very strong winds and extremely rough surf. We saw a lot of people out on the beach just watching those waves, taking photos and while the beach patrol was keeping ann eye on everybody because we didnt see any flooding they were much more focused on keeping people out of the water and they were letting folks dowf on the beach at their own risk. I thought it would be a lot more empty than this. A lot of people were going toing hold out and wait and see what happens. We expected more than this. They kept saying that there wass a big surgeon coming in and you had to be driving through waterw so we drove our truck instead oe our car down. I dont think it was all that much. In on hermine. It weakened a little bit from 70 to 65. But its still out there. Its still creating problems for some coastal communities and that means that were going to have to deal with it. Theyre keeping the warnings up from long island to nantucket and and these things the wind about 160 Miles Per Hours if you get rain on the coastal areas, maybe an inch or two. The bigger problems is prolong surf, rip currents and this thing unfortunately will still be out there and it will still be out there wednesday. Right now, its moving a little bit closer to the coast. Just a little. West it northwest at nine Miles Per Hour then stalls with winds about 50 miles an hour at 8 00 before starting to make a turn to the northeast on wednesday.
