and kitty hawk road . they spent the entire morning trying to figure out a man in a kia allegedly sped towards them when they were on a dui stop of another car. it started as a dui traffic stop at 3:30 in the morning. livermore police pilled over this car on kitty hawk road . they were conducting a field sobriety test when they heard screeching tires and saw black kia speed toward them. he drove the vehicle at the direction of the officers. reporter: police say the kia made a beeline towards them on a remote access road. they took immediate action and ended up faring their firearms. reporter: the driver of the kia was shot in the thigh. he ducked down and police did not immediately take him into custody. instead, they brought in the s.w.a.t. team. police are investigating if the dui suspect called the driver of the kia during the stop. police say they are sure they were driven towards on purpose. it is extremely intentional to make that turn. to approach the v ....
