New Bedford Police Arrest Suspect in Tallman Street Shooting
NEW BEDFORD New Bedford Police announced an arrest has been made in connection with a February 6 shooting at 78 Tallman Street that left two victims wounded by gunshots.
On the morning of Monday, February 22, New Bedford Police detectives arrested Lyrik A. Vernosky Caraballo, 23, of 3 Abbott Street, Apt. 1S. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery by discharge of a firearm, two counts of armed assault to murder, and multiple counts of firearms-related offenses.
Just after midnight on Feb. 6, police responded to a call for shots fired at the Tallman Street location. Two victims were located and transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Both victims survived.
