The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Central government to submit a progress report on the construction of the new building complex for the Jammu and Kashmir High Court bench at Jammu
The Court passed the landmark ruling while granting bail to Kashmiri journalist Fahad Shah in a UAPA case registered against in relation to an article published on the news portal The Kashmir Walla in 2011.
The guidelines were framed in line with the Supreme Court's directives in the case of Md. Asfak Alam v. State of Jharkhand, in which the top court had called for authorities to refrain from making unnecessary arrests.
