Whether you’ve just started dating or have been together awhile, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced couples to adapt. Most suddenly find themselves living far apart, others decided to take the plunge and move in together. And couples already together find that date nights now look a lot different.
Our student video producer Aaron Hwang (ENG’21) has been thinking a lot about dating and love lately, as he and his partner, Jamie Dela Cruz (CAS’21), prepare to mark their second anniversary.
In our video, they talk about how the pandemic has impacted their life together. Aaron also interviews two other couples, Camryn Williams (ENG’21) and her partner, UMass Lowell student Jake Sallaway, who met on Bumble just before the pandemic began, and Nichole Alvarez (CAS’21) and Mercedes Valladares (CAS’21), who have been together nearly four years.
