the sight of an extensive search last night for a newborn baby girl who disappeared shortly after her mother, suzen richardson, gave birth. if she took the baby over there, she was dripping blood all the way through the parking lot and back. reporter: her boyfriend johnnie bryant said there was blood in the home near the complex. there was evidence of child birth in the willow bend parking lot and that s what brought the investigators here. told me i had the baby here, you know, call the ambulance, but she could have called the ambulance herself. reporter: but that s not what she dead. susan richardson hadn t told them exactly what happened to the baby that they re now calling baby willow. they believe she discarded a girl. and this afternoon, they sent her to jail on aggravated child neglect charges. even her own boyfriend, the father of three of her other children, says she wouldn t tell him exactly what happened to baby willow. the doctor told me, says she had a mi

Probationers Share Tales of Reconciliation

Once a year, an emotional celebration is held for those who come to a similar realization and make it on the Wall of Change, selected by a committee for providing the department’s most inspirational success stories of the year. The Wall of Change stories and photos include a first-person account from the honoree and words from their assigned probation coach. The annual ceremony also shows appreciation for the Probation officers and other supporters who sometimes find themselves as the only people who believe in their ability to succeed. Marin Probation’s inspiring ‘Wall of Change’ newcomers honored at special event San Rafael, CA – James Mayberry’s painful childhood and young adult years were the start of a long path toward healing and his second chance at life. He was a young boy when he witnessed his mother's death at the hands of his father.

Moms 4 Housing Hold Sit-in Demanding County Supervisors Extend Eviction Protections

All formerly unhoused mothers, the Moms are risking arrest to demand that newly elected Supervisor Lena Tam uphold a previous vote for a strong package of permanent tenant protections for renters in the unincorporated areas of Alameda County as the end of the COVID Eviction Moratorium looms. Participants in the sit-in, are calling on all supporters to come to the 5th floor of 1221 Oak Street or outside the county building immediately to support the protest.
