Matthew Clayton, 18, was charged Monday morning with two counts of capital murder, one for allegedly shooting into a vehicle and another for shooting from a vehicle. Rontavious Managan, 18, was charged with the same shortly after 30-year-old Jamarcus Jordan was killed on April 3. Officers and medics responded to Troy Highway near Eastern Boulevard shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 on a report of a person shot. Jordan was found at the scene suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police have said. He d been shot multiple times, according to court records filed against the two teens. ....
From The Tribune staff reports BIRMINGHAM The Birmingham Police Department reports an arrest has been made in connection to the murder of a Birmingham man on March 19, 2021 at the Roebuck Plaza Shopping Center. Lazonathan Rhodes was murdered that afternoon in the Roebuck Plaza parking lot, which is located at 9120 Parkway East. The suspect has been identified by Birmingham police as Ja’Marcus Jordan, 18, of Hueytown. According to BPD, Jordan was arrested at a residence in McCalla on April 16 during the execution of a search warrant. He was then transported to the Jefferson County Jail. Jordan is being held on a $250,000 bond. ....
