Pilot Floyd Kjerstad would ferry Robin âBoomerâ McClure and his skiers to virgin peaks such as Creampuff, Hoback and Ramshorn. ⢠Yellowstone National Park and the Bridger-Teton National Forest created the largest ânatural burnâ area in the country, where naturally caused fires on nearly 2.3 million acres would be allowed to burn under certain conditions. ⢠A Town Council meeting about an ordinance to regulate the keeping of horses in Jackson turned bloody when one man called another a âyellow-bellied SOB,â followed him outside and hit him in the face several times. The proposed ordinance said no permits would be issued if there were protests from more than 50% of homeowners living within 140 feet of an individual applying for the permit. ⢠Teton County commissioners decided to seek a declaratory judgment ruling that Dr. Maxine Cammarn was not qualified to serve as a trustee on the new district board of St. Johnâs hospital. County voters chose her and five other people in the first election for a public hospital board. Commissioners said having a physician on the board was a conflict of interest situation forbidden by state statute. ....
