Once upon a time they wouldve looked at the situation we are in today, rolled up their sleeves and tackle the situation with a certain amount of relish. Shared prosperity was once the parties highest aim area defending the middleclass world that we live in was a sacred path for them as they never tired of reminded us back in the days of truman and albie jay. To this day, democrats are the ones that pledged to raise the minimum wage in the taxes of the rich. When it comes to tackling the defining challenge of our time many of our modern Democratic Leaders faltered. They acknowledge that inequality is rampant and it is an awful thing but they can never seem to find the conviction or the imagination to do whats necessary to reverse it. They do not want to talk about the fact that women are basically evenly split on abortion but theyre overwhelmingly opposed to it. They want to have that issue because its not convenient to them. So they dress up all of these other questions and put other accusations but we can get all one can talk about economic studies and the reason behind, we been debunked most the times over theres an economist whos been part of that in the white house itself judges women by their own standard. So its purely by so we have your back, and they dont like you, they dont represent you in the hope that the details get glossed over. Much. Thank you, mr. Chairman. I yield myself such time as i may consume. I rise in opposition to this amendment. This amendment does nothing to address the fundamental flaws in the underlying legislation. This amendment would simply add Unfunded Mandates as another basis for the commission to prioritize the review of certain rules. The underlying legislation contains no exceptions for rules, no matter how important. The commission the bill creates could recommend the repeal of rules such as the ones the bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives finalized this week, strengthening background check requirements for buying firearms. Such important Public Safety rules could be jeopardized by this bill. I oppose the underlying bill and i oppose this amendment, which does not improve the bill. And i reserve the balance of my time. The chair the gentleman reserves the balance of his time. The chair recognizes the gentlelady from North Carolina. Ms. Foxx thank you, mr. Speaker. I yie
