After many years of stagnation, things finally seem to be happening to transform Birkenhead town centre.
A large section of nondescript buildings by Birkenhead Market is currently in the process of being demolished, to make way for a new office complex.
And earlier this week, it was revealed two flyovers in the Hind Street area are to be removed and the road network reorganised to improve routes into the town centre and the tunnel, after the scheme was awarded £8.3m from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s (LCR) transforming cities fund. ....
