San mateo bridge this morning is a little bit busier but really no issues, no stalls, no crashes nothing thats going to be slowing you down. In the eastbound direction everything there looks good. Everything looks good there as well. No lane closures on your approach. All of that construction is wrapped up or at least not happening in the approach for some time. Your overall drive times are mostly in the green with the exception of the altamonte pass that is a 35minute drive. There is a wind advisory in effect for those of you headed westbound or eastbound. The busiest one of them all those metering lights are on. They are backed up to the foot of the maze and up onto the 880 flyover. Sorry i just got distracted because i just saw there are flashing lights in the approach to the bay bridge. At this point chp hasnt written anything up you can see that right there between all those big rigs. I dont know. In the meantime its going to be slowing you down at the toll plaza into San Francisco this morning. Youre also slow and go across the san mateo bridge to the peninsula this morning. So you might need to give yourself a little extra time there as well. And last but not least the Richmond San Rafael bridge that approach is packed but not slowing you down at this point. This crash happened about 3 a. M. And involves a fedex semi truck with two trailers and the sedan from chopper 5. The big rig with the trailers one of the trailers is tipped over. Its a mess here. A hispanic man was killed. The truck driver is on scene cooperating with authorities. We are waiting for a tow. This is a large scene that investigators are going over right now. When it comes to the load of big rigs that will affect the time of the closure. We already have units en route to pretty much bring the big rig back right side up and so we can expedited the opening. Debris where so theres a lot to clean up. Chp is directing traffic off the freeway so they can clear this scene as soon as possible. But again, they say it wont be open until 7 00 at the earliest. A few minutes ago we received a statement from fedex that says, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the tragic accident.
