Scotland County Hospital Auxiliary purchases rocking chair for pediatric families

The Scotland County Hospital Auxiliary recently purchased a rocking chair to be used on the Med-Surg Floor of the hospital for pediatric patient families. The nurses on that floor recognized that pediatric patients often want to be rocked by their family members and the nurses would have to go over to the Women s Center and carry a rocking chair to the Med-Surg Floor (and return the chair to the Women s Center after the pediatric patient was dismissed). This new rocking chair makes that job no longer necessary and makes pediatric patients and their families more comfortable in their hospital room.
