In this interview, Koko speaks about the book and the long standing relationship. You have come up with a historical book that tells an existing cultural bond between Nigeria and Jamaica. Share The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar chapter, Cross River State, on Tuesday honoured Governor Ben Ayade with an award in recognition of his industrialisation strides. The association also commended the governor for putting in place a security mechanisms, including Operation Akpakwu, which has curtailed incidence of crime in the state. Members of the association, who paid a courtesy call on Governor Ayade at the conference room of the Governor’s Office, Calabar, said they came to present him with the ‘Champion of Industrialisation’ Award in recognition of his strides in industrialising the state. ....
River basin authority deserts farm, irrigation projects in C’River, A’Ibom On By Emmanuel Unah WORKERS of Cross River Basin Development Authority, CRBDA, have revealed that nothing was planted in a farm belonging to the Authority flagged off, last year, by Minister of Water Resources while weeds have overrun the farm. There are also several irrigation projects of the agency located in Cross River and Akwa Ibom states that have practically been abandoned. Workers of CRBDA, who recently took to the streets of the company’s host community, Ikot Eneobong, in protest over the anomalies, blamed the shoddy state of things on inept leadership foisted on the federal agency by government. ....
