here s brandon orr. yeah we re looking at the cold hours moving through and as soon as the sun comes up our temperatures are going to shoot up into the 50s this afternoon. we did have flurries overnight. we re not seeing that anymore on precision doppler 12 h.d. in fact we re seeing a whole lot of sunshine. right now weather camera not seeing a whole lot of precipitation but we do have clouds around. thirty-one degrees so one degree below freezing. wind coming in out of the west at six miles per hour. a lot of us are at freezing or a degree or two above or below it. that s where we ll be much of the morning. we may drop before we get the temperatures up later today. we had flurries overnight over wilmington but look at the clouds in gray. the back edge is pushing closer to cincinnati. lot of sunshine. that s why temperatures are up so high. fifties. no chance of rain today but that changes as we go towards tomorrow night. rain on the way. it s going to be very windy and tha

this morning, two 14-year-old students are facing charges connected to the shooting that happened at madison junior senior high this week. wlwt news 5 s emily wood has the message being sent. reporter: as madison junior senior high school tries to move forward, more charges bring to light the importance of see something, say something. butler county sheriff richard jones says the shooter, austin hancock, showed his gun to two classmates monday morning. but they never reported it. they might feel like it s like being a snitch. it s your life. you don t want to hend up going to court and being stuck with something like this. reporter: the 14-year-olds are facing failure to report a crime. the defense attorney, mark krumbein, said they can t be tried as adults but could face jail time or a variety of punishments. they could be placed on home details, fines and costs, put on probation, things of that nature. so the possible punishments are different than in the adult system.

wlwt-tv] jonathan: good morning. welcome to news 5 today. thanks for joining us on this saturday. i m jonathan hawgood. meteorologist jennifer schack, what is that? is that rain out there? looks wet. jennifer: well, i m still assessing it with you. but when you see a little bit of variation in the clouds in the top left and then you get a little misty foggy maybe bottom right. visibility is being reported at four miles and the humidity is up quite high. so i do think we re seeing a little bit of mist, maybe wet snowflakes in northern kentucky. it s going to be cloudy, damp, drizzly. although it s not a washout, you re dealing with the moisture all day. jonathan: great day for a frog. jennifer: yes. if you re running for the bockfest, it s an early march event. not ideal. i don t think we see sunshine today. but for the 10:00 run, we re talking cloudy, maybe damp and drizzly, but the showers, the rain showers are probably not until our midday to afternoon hours and we will see
