Bbosa: Express FC respect Police FC but our target is to win all home games

“We shifted our focus to the league immediately after we advanced to the cup quarters,” Bbosa told the club’s official website. “We respect Police because they are a decent side with a good coach but the target remains winning all our home games to keep in reach with the table leaders.” On his part, forward Mustafa Kiragga maintained their focus is to win to make their home ground a fortress for teams and they have prepared well to beat Police. “Advancing to the quarter-finals of the Uganda Cup was a major boost for the team and as we prepare to face Police tomorrow [Saturday], the focus is on getting maximum points,” Kiragga told the same portal.

Uganda Cup: Express FC must avoid conceding against URA FC – Bbosa

“We have prepared well ahead of tomorrow’s [Tuesday’s] Uganda Cup return leg against URA,” Bbosa told the club’s official website ahead of the clash. “The target is to avoid conceding but score as well because it’s important we use our chances; the focus is to advance to the quarter-finals.” On his part, goalkeeper Denis Otim has said the fixture is not won yet because URA can change the tide, but maintained their main target is to reach the last eight of the competition. “We won the first leg but I want to appreciate my teammates for the good fight because they managed to fight and come back to win 2-1,” Otim told the same portal.

Uganda Cup: Express FC have respect for URA FC despite two wins – Bbosa

Byamukama s efforts for Express FC stun Vipers SC, Kyetume FC beat Wakiso Giants

Paul Mucureezi could have opened the score in the 28th minute but he sent his effort over the bar after he had been put through on goal by Disan Galiwango. A minute after the half-hour mark, Murushid Juuko was booked after he exchanged words with referee Ssali Mashoodi. Mucureezi was unlucky in the 35th minute when his second chance went narrowly wide after receiving a cross from Karim Watambala. Watambala was the culprit in the 41st minute when he wasted another chance after Bbosi Byarughanga produced a good cross for him. Eric Kambale s 42nd-minute header - from a cross by Godfrey Lwesibwa - went over the bar as Express mounted more attacks against the hosts.

KCCA FC snatch late draw vs Express FC, SC Villa fight back to hold Wakiso Giants

Godfrey Lwesibwa would have opened the score inside five minutes but he ended up heading Arthur Kiggundu s cross from a good position wide. Issa Lumu could not connect well with Lwesibwa s corner moments later as the hosts saw another chance go to waste. George Ssenkaaba saw a number of his chances, including a bicycle kick, and a close-range shot, go out even though he had beaten Peter Magambo as he surged goalwards.  The rather wasteful home side, however, got an opener through Kambale in the first minute of added time before the teams went back for the half-time break. Ssenkaba s replacement Frank Kalanda, who came on as the second half started, could not convert a number of chances that came his way. His combination with Kambale midway through the second half could have led to a second goal but Charles Lukwago in KCCA s goal was alert enough to deal with the danger.
