Abia State Governor, Alex Chioma Otti has in line with electioneering promises, formerly flagged off the 3.5- kilometer - 6 lane Okpara Square -Ossah -Express Tower Road with a promise to extend the project to the Onuimo axis in Imo State.
The Enugu State government has suspended the traditional ruler of Ekpulato Mgbowo in the Awgu Local Government Area of the state, Igwe Greg Ituma. The suspension was announced in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Chieftaincy Matters, Dr Charles Egumgbe, on Saturday. SaharaReporters reliably gathered that the traditional ruler was arrested on Thursday, when the Nigerian Army in a joint operation with operatives of Department of State Services (DSS) and various police tactical squads invaded the community.
Nigerian soldiers have reportedly invaded Mgbowo community in the Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, burning houses. SaharaReporters gathered that the incident caused panic and anxiety in the area as residents fled to nearby bushes. Although no reason has been given for the invasion; however, no fewer than five residential houses were reportedly burnt by the soldiers.
