2020 Class of FIBA Hall of Fame: Tara VanDerveer
MIES (Switzerland) - Coaching legend Tara VanDerveer is to be honored for her incredible career on the sideline by being enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2020.
The American joins eight players and two fellow coaches - Steve Nash (Canada), Isabelle Fijalkowski (France), Agnes Nemeth (Hungary), Mieczyslaw Lopatka (Poland), Modestas Paulauskas (Lithuania), Kenichi Sako (Japan), Park Shin-ja (Korea), Alexander Volkov (Ukraine) and Jure Zdovc (Slovenia), plus playcallers Ruben Magnano (Argentina) and Svetislav Pesic (Serbia), who are all being enshrined as part of the Class of 2020.
The accomplishments of VanDerveer are extensive and that s no surprise considering her stellar career - one that started more than four decades ago and continues to this day.
