Ukrainian Pro Pavel Veksler Wins Irish Open Main Event 3 Min read The Irish Poker Open trophy won’t be staying on the Emerald Isle this year, but the event will go down as another success. Ukrainian pro Pavel Veksler won the Irish Open Main Event on Partypoker for a six-figure payday worth €265,999. (Image: WPT/Twitter) COVID-19 restrictions meant the action took place on Partypoker again this year, but that didn’t stop players from anteing up in droves. A total of 1,880 entrants took part in the €1,100 Main Event. Although that’s down on last year’s 2,945 entrants, it was more than enough players to almost double the €1 million guarantee and give winner Pavel Veksler a six-figure payday. ....

The first live European Poker Tour main event of 2021 not only gave Martirosyan his maiden title but was bigger than last year’s. Martirosyan’s first EPT trophy was his second-biggest live score (behind $495K in the Partypoker Millions Live super high roller event in March 2020, just before the world started to shut down). “The trophy has such a cool design,” he said to event reporters after the final table. “It was one of the reasons why I didn’t cut a deal.” ....
Michael Addamo Wins the MILLIONS Online #28 Mega High Roller ($1,310,715) The two-day MILLIONS Online #28 Mega High Roller kicked off Sunday evening with 35 entrants generating a $3.5 million prize pool to smash the $3 million guarantee. The final table was broadcasted live on the partypoker YouTube channel with hosts James Dempsey, Henry Kilbane announcing the action on a delay with hole cards exposed. Florian Loehnert was the favorite to ship the event after entering last night s six-player final table with more than half of the chips. The eventual winner Michael Addamo was the closest player to Loehnert to start things off even though he had less than one-third of the chip leader s chip count. ....
