24-hour deadline for patching potholes in Ipoh, pledges mayor

IPOH: Potholes in the city will be fixed within 24 hours of a report made, says Ipoh mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin.
Rumaizi said once the Ipoh City Council receives a complaint about a pothole, it would be solved as soon as possible.
“I have told my officers to get it (patching the potholes) done within 24 hours after receiving the complaints.
“Although we have received allocation from the Malaysian Road Records Information System (Marris) to fix the potholes, we have made a decision to allocate our own budget for the problem, ” he told reporters after attending the tree-planting ceremony at Taman Rishah Indah here on Saturday (Jan 9). ....
