In a statement, the MoF said these included increasing the allocation of RM50 million to RM400 million under the Grant Based on Level of Economic Development, Infrastructure and Welfare (TAHAP) to all state governments. “The increase in the allocation is for the purpose of financing Ecological Fiscal Transfer activities as an additional incentive to the State Governments to ensure the sustainability of the country’s biodiversity,” the MoF said in a statement Thursday.

The ministry said that under the Zeropothole Campaign, the patching of potholes or temporary repairs for federal roads will be conducted within 24 hours, while permanent repairs will be done in three days as per the “Federal Road Maintenance” contract. In a statement yesterday, it said the campaign that was introduced from 2016 to 2018 was reintroduced in July as an initiative of the ministry with the Public Works Department (JKR) and six concessionaires for federal road maintenance.
