Badge and credentials. Happened this morning. The burglar took guns from the locked f. B. I. Vehicle. Authorities are asking residents to check their vehicles for evidence. This is the latest in a series of breakins where guns be longing to local, state and federal officers have been stolen from their cars. The most serious incident of course is the july killing of kay styley at pier 14 in San Francisco with a gun belonging to a federal bureau of Land Management ranger. The gun was allegedly fired by a man in the country illegally. No officer wants to have their gun taken away and to be used in the future and it is horrendous and guilt that they have to live with. If we could take the extra precaution, if you cant take it with you, put it in a locked container and make sure it is secure and the container is locked in the vehicle. Another incident in august.
