Annual Internship Report: Among the shortlisted applicants, 33 per cent had a BTech, highlighting a strong inclination towards tech roles. Additionally, 23 per cent were recent graduates.
According to a report by Internshala, Indian students have experienced a significant increase in internship opportunities over the past five years, with a 200% growth. Business development and management accounted for 44% of internships, followed by engineering at 20% and the media sector at 18%.
Over 430,000 students secured internships and fresher jobs in India last year, marking a 16.4% increase from 2022, according to Internshala s annual report. Recruitment in this category peaked from March to July, with over 40,000 students hired monthly. The report also reveals that the management field had the highest recruitment at 66%, followed by media at 21%, engineering at 10%, and design at 1%.
