we re joining by harry litman and david henderson. thank you for being with me. take us through what the jury asked this morning for. reporter: this was the first time we ve heard from the jury since they started deliberating yesterday morning. they re entering hour nine of deliberations. we heard they do have lunch. not clear if they re going to work through lunch. this morning they asked to review materials. they wanted to see the video that william bryan shot that shows the violent death of ahmaud arbery. they wanted to see it played three times and they asked to hear the 911 call made by greg mcmichael. we heard the prosecution putting so much emphasis on this call, picks up the phone, dials 911. the operator asks, what s your emergency, and he says there s a black man running down the street. that s something the prosecution has pointed out time and time again. we ll see what today brings. if the jury hasn t reached a decision by the end of today, they will break ....
the final frontier. and begin this hour with the latest on the fight against the coronavirus. just last night, texas governor greg abbott issued an executive order banning vaccine mandates statewide, a direct rebuke of president biden s plan to mandate vaccines or testing for government workers. he called president biden s mandate federal overreach. he s not alone. 24 attorneys general have threatened legal action over the federal rule. joining me now is heidi przybyla. some have no concerns at all. i m outside of colubia sports and the ceo says, we opposite in over 90 countries. we don t have a problem. in fact, when he looks around the country here in the u.s., he thinks this is the only country that actually has a problem. when you talk to ceos, though, for instance, in the deep south, as i did, ceo lex taylor, of a machine parts company in mississippi, he says, i have tried to give incentives to get vaccinated and yet only 30% of my population, of my employees a ....

assistant to the president during the trump presidency, and more to the point, he was considered a personal aide. he was someone who would have been around donald trump a good bit. not a senior person in the trump white house or campaign, but someone who would have potentially privy to a lot of conversations he may have overheard, including on january 6th itself where pictures exist of him standing with the former president around that rally on the ellipse. so someone who had been close to the action on the day of january 6th itself, although it s not clear right now whether that s specifically what smith and the special counsel s office wanted to talk to him about or perhaps even some of his continuing work with trump s campaign. so we re continuing to figure out exactly whether this is the first appearance that he s made, whether there s additional appearances and the kinds of information he may have, but it s pretty clear, again, this is somebody who would have been ....
