information sphere and on the media. by this point, this isn t happening today, this isn t a new development, this has been slowly happening for the last 22 years. and older people, people who watch tv who trust the state, who trust the television and what is said to them from the screen, they believe this stuff. they have been hearing this for the last eight years at least. so i think a lot of them do believe it unfortunately. then how essential is it for kremlin propaganda, that now you have far right media outlets here in the united states pushing these lies. and they are able to clip these tv segments and put them on their air, and say to the russians look, even the americans are saying it. that s right, it s very important, and again this is also the logical conclusion of what we started seeing in 2016. when you had the american right
information bubble in which the trump campaign was seen as friendly and then the trump data team took that information, including stolen information from the democratic national committee, and created their own information sphere. once the russian bobble was popped after the 2016 election, the trump team took the ball and ran with it. the russians barely have to do anything. the trump team created lies, the trump team created propaganda and indoctrinated their own followers into believing some of most insane lies in the history of the united states to the point where they view it, you know, you were talking about radicalization, they viewed their acts as not only patriotic but that violence is the only solution, and they re carrying out a second lexington, a second concord, as your other guests said, 1776 2.0.
next to him. therefore saying right in front of trump and the audience that the bald truth, i would be defeated without him. donald trump has poison this had country in many ways. he s poisoned the information sphere, the court, he s done terrible damage. at the same time he s also exposed the country in so many ways and exposed aspects of our history and racism that are painful to witness and he s exposed the from silt of democracy in ways we could not imagine. you and i grew with the sense in one way or another of a kind of american exceptionalism, meaning this could never happen here. i lived in moscow for four years. as a young person i would look
Bill to amend laws on mass media in Belarus approved
MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) - Members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus approved the bill to amend the laws on mass media at a meeting of the fifth session on 21 April, BelTA has learned.
The bill is aimed at ensuring the constitutional right of citizens to receive complete and reliable information, the protection of state and public interests in the field of mass information, and national security in the information sphere.
“The practice of applying the legislation on the mass media has shown that we have certain gaps, which, unfortunately, have been exploited by our unprincipled colleagues. The amendments that were adopted today by the members of the Council of the Republic are aimed at eliminating these gaps or bottlenecks in the legislation,” Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov said.

Journalists are still being detained in Belarus, months after a rigged presidential election. Among the latest to have been arrested is Yulia Slutskaya, founder of the Press Club Belarus.
Yulia Slutskaya is a prominent Belarusian journalist and the founder of the local Press Club, which runs educational and cultural initiatives relating to journalism, and hosts professional development events. In July 2016 I had the pleasure of being invited to meet with her, and with her students of journalism, to share my experience in the media.
Political oppression
Yulia, together with five other Press Club Belarus’ employees, was detained on December 24. Prior to that, the Club had reported on the detentions of journalists covering the anti-government protests in the country, ongoing since a rigged presidential election in August 2020.
