As the renovations and reopenings from the 2017 hurricane season were nearing completion, COVID-19 began to affect the islands. However, the U.S. Virgin Islands have a significant competitive advantage over the other islands in the Caribbean because they benefit from U.S. territory status. As a result, the U.S. Virgin Islands avoided the complicated COVID-19 travel restrictions that existed in other Caribbean destinations, allowing the islands to increase visitation numbers after 2020 significantly faster than other Caribbean islands. ....

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism’s Division of Festivals has pioneered the return of in-person Carnival events while prioritizing public health safety and the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
The 2021 Carnival Virgin Islands “1 Night, 1 Fête” took place seaside on Friday at The West Indian Company Limited (WICO) dock on St. Thomas, and featured leading U.S. Virgin Islands musical groups Cool Session Brass, Legacy Band, and Spectrum Band.

The Indian Company Limited (IHCL), part of the Tata Group, continues to stand by the Indian community in the fight against the pandemic, establishing quarantine facilities in collaboration with Partner Hospitals at select Taj, Vivanta and Ginger branded hotels across the country.
 
A total of 11 hotels are involved, with a total room count of over 5,000 in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai and Pantnagar. Available for asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic Covid-19 patients, these rooms are offered at the sole discretion of the partner hospital, who provide an on-site doctor and nurse to monitor vital parameters. ....

The Indian Company Limited (IHCL), part of the Tata Group, continues to stand by the Indian community in the fight against the pandemic, establishing quarantine facilities in collaboration with Partner Hospitals at select Taj, Vivanta and Ginger branded hotels across the country.

“As we speak, we are making available around 900 MT of oxygen per day, that is Tata Steel alone. Our people in Tata Steel identified that the bottleneck is in transportation. We need special cryogenic containers. India doesnt have it. So, one just has to find then outside and get them airlifted. ....
