New Delhi, May 3: Amidst India s burgeoning coronavirus crisis, Vietnam and other countries from the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) are stepping up aid to support India against the pandemic.
In a meeting with the Indian Ambassador Pranay Kumar Verma earlier this week in Hanoi, the deputy foreign minister of Vietnam pledged to provide medical support in the form of oxygen, medicines and drugs. The Indian ambassador and Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung also discussed India s engagement with ASEAN countries, particularly in the maritime domain.

New Delhi, May 2 (Prensa Latina) Vietnam and other countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) are reportedly increasing their aid to help India cope with growing health crisis posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. In a meeting with Indian Ambassador Pranay Kumar Verma in Hanoi, Vietnam s Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung committed himself to providing medical aid in the form of oxygen, medicines and drugs, the India Narrative website reported.
India has a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam, under which the two nations cooperate in defense, the development sector and boost trade and economy, while New Delhi strengthens Vietnam s information technology sector.
