But the jury concluded that Myriam Parada did not suffer damages from jail staff reporting her to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, resulting in her being taken to ICE detention and setting into motion deportation procedures. That incident left the 34-year-old Sheldon resident bleeding internally and with four broken ribs that punctured his liver and pancreas. The Minnesota ACLU filed suit in October 2019 on Rodriguezâs behalf and the city of Worthington recently settled the matter for $590,000 while also agreeing to make reforms to its police department.
