In late February, she announced her candidacy to be the successor to Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker in New Jersey Legislative District 16. In Hunterdon County, the 16th District includes both Flemington Borough and Raritan Township, plus Readington Township, Delaware Township and Stockton Borough.

The decision by Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners’ director to attend a pro-Trump protest in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6 was the subject of a debate among dozens of county residents on Tuesday some critical of her actions and some defending her rights to be there.
The protest in Washington turned into a violent attempt at insurrection as some protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol while the Electoral College votes were being tallied.
