Three youths drown - Newspaper


KARACHI: Three teenagers drowned in two separate incidents in the metropolis on Thursday evening, according to police and rescue services’ officials.
Two of them drowned while enjoying a cool dip in the Lyari river, Liaquatabad SHO Rizwan Patel said.
Edhi divers fished out the bodies and sent them to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for legal formalities. The deceased were identified as Ibrahim Jehangir, 13, and Moiz Asghar, 14. They were residents of the B-1 Area, Liaquatabad.
Another youth, Pervez Khan, 16, drowned while swimming in Hub Canal near Manghopir, Edhi Foundation spokesperson said.

Karachi [Pakistan], April 5 (ANI): With temperatures soaring to over 40 degrees Celsius in Pakistan s Karachi, the city has been facing an acute shortage of water.
On Saturday, Karachi recorded a temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius - the highest temperature since April 1947, according to its meteorological department.
The water was being supplied to the city through the Dhabeji Pumping station and the Hub Canal and District West were facing the most shortage of water compared to other districts of the city, The News International quoted Asadullah Khan, Karachi Water, and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Managin ....
