BACOLOD CITY - The Negros Occidental provincial government aims to inoculate more elderly population against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) to increase its coverage rate in the 60 and above age group. Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Tuesday representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) who visited the province last week pushed the need to prioritize vaccination among the seniors. "There is still a large number of senior citizens that have not been vaccinated. That is our target," he added. The team from WHO discussed the technical support for the province in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination for Priority Group A2 or the senior citizens during a meeting with Lacson, who was joined by provincial health officer Dr. Ernell Tumimbang and assistant provincial health officer Dr. Jessica Fama. The visit sought to directly support the province in re-engineering strategies for the older population as part of the strategy to strengthen the Covid-19 vaccination cam ....

But every once in a while a movie sequel hits a home run – Goldfinger, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and The Godfather, Part II come to mind. So what will the critics (myself included) have to say about the sequel to the not so little darling of the United States pandemic economy, the Paycheck Protection Program? Really, it is too early to tell, as the SBA has yet to issue rules or guidance to fill in the many gaps left by H.R. 133, The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. But, as we await additional guidance from the SBA, which should be issued any day now, let s analyze what we know to date and see if and how this sequel may help many of our small and mid-sized businesses. ....
