In a report, Brig. Gen. Randy Peralta, chief of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), identified the suspects as Joseph Villamor Malasaga, 50; Algie Mingote Nabenia, 43; and Nolan Sarlego Julia, 38. The suspects were arrested at around 11:30 a.m. along Maysan Road corner Cecilio J. Santos St. in Valenzuela City. Police, together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), recovered 12 kilograms of shabu with an estimated value of PHP81.6 million, one piece of PHP1,000 bill on top of 10 bundles of boodle money, a Honda Civic with plate number UFY 330, assorted IDs and documents and two mobile phones. In a Comelec Resolution, the Commission en banc has approved the petition filed by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) asking to exempt from the election ban the implementation of the subsidy programs. "Wherefore, premises considered and, after due deliberation, the Commission resolved as it hereby resolves to grant the Petition exempting the following programs being implemented by the DOTR and LTFRB: Fuel Subsidy Program; Public Utility Vehicle Service Contracting Program and Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program," the poll body said.
