Its 9am in singapore, 1am in london and 4am in the turkish city of istanbul, where police have reportedly detained the main suspect behind the new years eve shooting at a nightclub. 39 people were killed and seventy injured in the attack. The so called Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the shooting. Our turkey correspondent mark lowen has the latest. This was the culmination of a huge nationwide Police Manhunt that appears to have finally apprehended a 30 year old man, uzbek national, abdulkadir masharipov, believed to be the main suspect behind the Istanbul Nightclub Attack. In the aftermath of the attack he managed to escape, to flee the scene. Apparently, they were staying in an apartment belonging to a friend.
