NEW SHARON — Colfax-Mingo s boys basketball team fell behind 15-0 after one quarter and couldn t recover during a 65-36 loss to North Mahaska on Friday night in South Iowa Cedar League play.
Jake Nichols had 13 rebounds and scored five points, but the Tigerhawks just couldn t overcome their slow start. They trailed 35-10 at halftime and was outscored 22-4 in the third.
Colfax-Mingo did win the fourth quarter 22-5.
A.J. Gibson had eight points and three rebounds, Zach Steenhoek tallied eight points and two steals and Cole Bracewell chipped in five points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. ....
