The teachers union in Holmdel Township is voicing concerns over the district’s return to five-day-a-week, in-person instruction at its elementary schools amid a surging number of coronavirus cases across New Jersey.
The district, which was previously on a hybrid schedule, went back to full in-person learning in mid-December. Students at its two elementary schools report five times a week, while middle and high schoolers are following a half-day schedule, but parents can choose to continue entirely remote instruction for their children.
