Wallin of Pequot Lakes had the catch of the week, spearing a 16-pound, 8-ounce northern pike on Cullen Lake. 30 years ago, Feb. 21, 1991 The Nisswa Winter Jubilee top prize for snow sculptures went to a giant lobster sculpted by Joe Ganley, and Larry Parker repeated as champion of the wood-splitting contest. 20 years ago, Feb. 22, 2001 The Revolution Dance Team heads to state for the second consecutive year, winning the Section 3A title in both Jazz and High Kick. ....

As a member of the College of St. Catherine junior volleyball team, Elizabeth Brine of Crosslake helps the team to an 11-3 record. 30 years ago, Dec. 13, 1990 Tom and Sue Thurlow close the Thurlow Hardware Store in Nisswa after 65 years in business. Steve Rudek is named Chief of the Breezy Point Police Department. 20 years ago, Dec. 14, 2000 Dennis Misener, Donna Good and mayor Jack Schmidt retire from the Pequot Lakes City Council. ....
